Steve Has Overdrawn His Checking Account By $27. His Bank Charged Him $15 For An Overdraft Fee Then He Quickly Deposited $100. What Is His Current Balance?

    1. Overdrawn means money he doesn't have, so we go into the negative. Start with -27.
    2. A bank charge of $15 means he goes in the negative another $15, so -27 - 15 = -42
    3. Then he deposits $100, so his balance is: $100 - 42 = $58
