    A plane takes off at 11:53 and lands at 9 minutes to 2. How long is the flight?

    9 minutes to 2 is 1:51

    11:53 to 1:53 is exactly 2 hours.
    1:51 is 2 minutes less than 1:53.
    So we have 1 hour and 58 minutes
