    A card is drawn from a pack of 52 cards. The probability that the card drawn is a red card is

    The deck is split evenly between red and black cards.

    So we have 52/2 = 26 red cards

    P(Red) = # of Red Cards / Total Deck Cards
    P(Red) = 26/52

    We can simplify this fraction. Using our fraction calculator, we get:
    P(Red) = 1/2 or 0.5
