    A 7-foot piece of cotton cloth costs $3.36. What is the price per inch?

    Using our length converter, we see that:
    7 feet = 84 inches

    So $3.36 for 84 inches. We divide $3.36 by 84 to get the cost per inch:
    $3.36/84 = 0.04 per inch
