    Every 100 seeds of corn he plants, he harvests 84 ears of corn. If he wants to harvest 7200 ears of corn, how many seeds must he plant?

    Set up a proportion seeds to ears:
    100/84 = x/7200 where x is the number of seeds needed for 7200 ears of corn.

    Using our proportion calculator, we get:
    x = 8,571.43 ~ 8,572
