    A text message plan costs $7 per month plus $0.28 per text. Find the monthly cost for x text messages.

    We set up the cost function C(x) where x is the number of text messages per month:
    C(x) = Cost per text * x + Monthly cost

    Plugging in our given numbers, we get:
    C(x) = 0.28x + 7
