    9 subtracted from the product of 3 and a number is greater than or equal to 16

    1. The phrase a number means an arbitrary variable, let's call it x
    2. The product of 3 and a number means we multiply 3 times x: 3x
    3. 9 subtracted from the product: 3x - 9
    4. The phrase is greater than or equal to means an inequality. So we set up an inequality with >= for the greater than or equal to sign in relation to 3x - 9 and 16
    Our algebraic expression (inequality) becomes:
    3x - 19 >= 16
