    Rachel runs each lap in 6 minutes. She will run less than 8 laps today. What are the possible numbers of minutes she will run today

    Less than means an inequality.

    6 minutes per lap * 8 laps = 48 minutes.

    If m is the number of minutes Rachel runs, then we have:
    m < 48
