A bicycle helmet is priced at $18.50. If it is on sale for 10% off and there is 7% sales tax, how much will it cost after tax?

    Calculate percent off first:
10% off means 90% off the price
    $18.50 * (1 - 0.1)
    $18.50 * (0.9) = 16.65

Now, add 7% sales tax to the discounted price
Price after sales tax = Discounted Price * 1.07
Price after sales tax = 16.65(1.07)
Price after sales tax = 17.82
