    A customer buys 5 pounds of apples at $0.79 a pound. They hand the cashier a $10 bill. How much change will they get back?

    Calculate the total bill:
    Total Bill = Pounds of Apples * Cost per pound
    Total Bill = 5 * 0.79
    Total Bill = $3.95

    Calculate Change:
    Change = Money Offered - Total Bill
    Change = $10 - $3.95
    Change = $6.05
