Barbara bought a piece of rope that was 7 1/3 meters long. She cut the rope into 3 equal pieces. How long is each piece of rope?

Using our mixed number converter, we see that:
    7&1/3 = 22/3

Split into 3 equal pieces, we have:
    22/3 / 3 = 22/9 or 2&4/9
