I HAVE $11.60, all dimes and quarters, in my pocket. I have 32 more dimes than quarters. how many dimes, and how many quarters do i have?

    Let d = dimes and q = quarters.

    We have two equations:
    1. 0.10d + 0.25q = 11.60
    2. d - q = 32
Set up a system of equations to solve for d and q.
    dimes (d) = 56 and quarters (q) = 24

    Check our work:
    56 - 24 = 32
    0.10(56) + 0.25(24) = $5.60 + $6.00 = $11.60
