You collect a total of 75 in donations from three people. The three donations are in the ratio 4:4:7. How much is each of the smaller donations?

    4 + 4 + 7 = 15
    Each person's donation ratio is:
    1. Donation 1 is 4/15 of 75
    2. Donation 2 is 4/15 of 75
    3. Donation 3 is 7/15 of 75
    4/15(75) = 5 * 4 = 20
    7/15(75) = 5 * 7 = 35

    Each person's donation amount is:
    1. $20
    2. $20
    3. $35
    Check out work:
    20 + 20 + 35 = 75!
