    At a carnival, Diane bought 14 packs of 7 tickets each. She also found 9 more tickets on the ground. How many tickets did Diane have in all?

    14 packs * 7 tickets/pack = 98 tickets
    Now add the 9 tickets on the ground: 98 + 9 = 107 tickets
