    A cook has 2 3/4 pounds of ground beef.How many quarter-pound burgers can he make?

    2 & 3/4 converts to 11/4 in our fraction converter.

    A quarter-pound burger is 1/4 of a pound.

    11/4 = 1/4 * 11, so the cook can make 11 quarter-pound burgers
