    The minimum daily requirement of vitamin C for 14 year olds is at least 50 milligrams per day. An average sized apple contains 6 milligrams of vitamin C. How many apples would a person have to eat each day to satisfy this requirement?

    Let a be the number of apples required. The phrase at least means greater than or equal to, so we have the inequality:
    6a >= 50

    To solve this inequality, we type it in our math engine and we get:
    a >= 8.3333 apples or rounded up to a full number, we get 9 apples
