    A. 6
    B. 1/2
    C. 1/3
    D. 1/4

    Multiply through by 6:
    2 * 6x/3 + 6/6 = 6/3
    4x + 1 = 2

    Subtract 1 from each side:
    4x + 1 - 1 = 2 - 1
    4x = 1

    Divide each side by 4:
    4x/4 = 1/4
    x = 1/4
