A marathon runner took 2 hours and 15 minutes to complete the race. During that time he spent 50 minutes in the lead. Write down, in its simplest form, the fraction of time he spent in the lead.

Calculate total race time in minutes
    2 hours = 120 minutes
    120 minutes + 15 minutes = 135 minutes

    Calculate fraction of lead time
Fraction of lead time = Time spent in lead / total race time
Fraction of lead time = 50/135

    Simplifying this fraction, we get:
Fraction of lead time = 10/27
