Daniel pays $10 to get into the parking lot and will pay a fee of $2 per hour his car will be left in the parking lot. He ending up paying a total of $23 for parking. How many hours was Daniels car left in the parking lot?

Calculate the amount of fees for hours:
Fees for hours = Total Bill - Entrance fee
    Fees for hours = 23 - 10
    Fees for hours = 13

Calculate the number of hours Daniel parked:
Number of hours = Fees for hours / Hourly Rate
    Number of hours = 13/2
    Number of hours = 6.5
